I ...It's hard to take time out from the Media. I know it got worse for me last year when I finally got a laptop, said goodbye to dial up, and then joined FB all in the same month. Before I used to never be on my computer at home (mainly because it was downstairs and dial up did take a while). There are times when I have to tell myself to put the computer down and focus on what is in front of me!
It's so easy to get carried away with things that are not important...I have to tell myself to remember to focus on "how important is this"...

Focusing on the importance has helped me a lot with my relationship with 2 young girls and them picking out their own outfits. One of my girls has worn knee high socks with a sundress and sandles for the past two weeks...she looks just silly, but after the first two rounds of us arguing over it for hours and both of us being upset after, I have decided her looking silly isn't that big a deal...

Glad you survived last week. Hopefully things start to get a little easier.

KathieKathienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7853183493337705487.post-68178773054745977972010-06-07T14:39:02.110-04:002010-06-07T14:39:02.110-04:00Taking a time out from the media is always a good ...Taking a time out from the media is always a good idea. However, I am very attached to my computer these days since being a stay-at-home mom. It keeps me connected with Adults. I don’t have any friends here in SC – not for lack of trying. I have found that when you have kids, you just don’t have the time. I was reading an article in Real Simple magazine on the very thought of having friends and kids.

I am looking for people in my area to connect with – but where I am at, it very rural and I love it. Besides I tend to get along better with males than females. I guess it is just the tomboy in me.

Patti and I have gotten very close. She was the keeper of my little ones while I worked. She called me yesterday and said that we need to take the boys to the park on Friday. That way it will get us all out of the house and give me some adult time and the kids play time. During the summer she only kept mine, so we will be able to do a lot – I am hoping.

What kind of writing did you want us a do, a mini bio? I have some good recipes I can share.

Anyhow – enjoy your break away. I need to get back to my cleaning before the boys get up from their nap.

Love to you!Musings By Desihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07529352721042413329noreply@blogger.com
